Tree time - Art and science for a new alliance with nature

Two years after the Vaia storm, here's a multisensory journey that highlights the urgency to reconfigure our relationship with the giants trees

exhibition

The exhibition "Tree Time. Art and science for a new alliance with nature", from an idea and exhibition project of the National Mountain Museum "Duca degli Abruzzi" in Turin, gives voice to the languages of art for a new vision, management and care of trees, woods and forests.

Twenty contemporary Italian and international artists and a selection of documents from the collections of the Museomontagna and the National Library of the Italian Alpine Club deal with the theme of trees, according to a narrative with historical-scientific approach: an original experience to observe, understand and reconfigure our relationship with the plant universe.

Trees are the greatest allies for maintaining the climate and atmospheric balance of the planet, they cover almost 30% of the earth's surface and many of them form complex and fascinating ecosystems: the forests.

The deterioration of forest conditions inevitably affects also the quality of our lives too, exposing us to more insecure and unpredictable conditions every day. In response to this, a new awareness is emerging about the impact that human interference has on natural ecosystems and also an urgent need to rebuild sustainable forms of coexistence for the time to come.
