TREK - MARIO BRUNELLO, GIULIANO CARMIGNOLA, JADRAN DUNCUMB
A highly original trio of cello, violin and Baroque guitar are the stars of the first of two treks in the “Sounds of the Dolomites 2016” programme. The project, which will culminate in the formation of the Peace Orchestra in 2018, sees Mario Brunello joined this year by two musicians of equal international calibre, Giuliano Carmignola and the Norwegian Jadran Duncumb. Three days in the heart of nature immersed in ancient sounds that never grow old.
THE ROUTE:
Day 1: 5 hr walk, vertical ascent 505 metres, 682 metres in descent, difficulty EEA
Day 2: 4 hr 50 min walk, vertical ascent 752 metres, 253 metres in descent, difficulty EEA
Day 3: 4½ hr walk, vertical ascent 146 metres, 1,116 metres in descent, difficulty E
Reservations
There is a charge for the trek, which is only open to experience walkers (maximum 40) with appropriate equipment.
The cost is € 379 and covers meals – including packed lunches - overnight stay and breakfast in refuges, guiding and support from Mountain Guides, transfers and festival t-shirt. Drinks are not included, participants must bring their own sheet bag and via ferrata set (available for hire).
