Trentino & Wine 2023

After the break imposed by the recent health emergency, Trentino's longest-running wine festival is back. The embrace between Trento and its wines is transformed - in keeping with a tradition dating back to 1925 - into a celebration of conviviality and sociability. From 11 to 14 May, "Trentino & Wine" will turn the spotlight on the winemaking vocation of our province and will do so by proposing a programme of initiatives that from Palazzo Roccabruna, home of the provincial Enoteca (official wine promotion body) of Trentino, will involve the city's main historic residences.

The Consorzio vini del Trentino (Consortium of Trentino's wines), which organises the event, aims not only to publicise the latest wines, but also - and above all - to educate people on conscious consumption through tastings guided by sommeliers who will help guests to grasp the aromas and flavours that make each label unique and unrepeatable.

The event will also be an opportunity to recall the commitment made by the Trentino Wine Consortium in the field of sustainability in support of environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Trentino is at the top in Italy for its commitment to sustainability, and in 2022 was awarded the prestigious "Wine Region Of The Year" prize by the international magazine "Wine Enthusiast". 

PROGRAMME

WINE & ME
"Wine & ME" is the crucial event this year, which will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy wine and grappa tastings at Palazzo Roccabruna - Trento Chamber of Commerce's promotional headquarters - with the assistance of sommeliers (every day from 5 to 10 pm and Sunday 14 May from 11.00 to 20.00). Particularly numerous will be the representative wines of the territory such as Teroldego, Marzemino, Müller Thurgau, Nosiola and Trentodoc.

WINE & HISTORY
Wine & History is a tasting tour involving all the senses through the history of the city, with wine tasting stops at the main city residences (Palazzo Thun, Palazzo Trautmannsdorf, Palazzo Geremia), starting from Palazzo Roccabruna, which for the occasion shows off a recently restored Conte di Luna room (on 12 May at 9.00; on 13 May at 17.00 and 21.00; on 14 May at 11.00 and 15.00. WINE & GRAPPA
On Friday 12 May Trentino's grappa meets the world of mixed drinks in the name of taste, music and responsible consumption.

WINE & MUSIC
On Saturday 13 May from 18.00 to 21.00, the provincial Enoteca (official wine promotion body) of Trentino will be the setting for a combination of the art of wine and the art of music. This event will offer the opportunity to taste the "Trentino & Wine" collection to the notes of an original musical accompaniment.
