Trento Festival of Economics starts online
A series of meetings from 29 May

Trento Festival of Economics, which will take place in Trento from 24 to 27 September on the theme "Environment and Growth", is starting on Friday 29 May with a series of online reflections on the events that have changed the world in a few weeks; such events have already begun to show their impact on the global economy. The meetings that will take place from June to September will give us the opportunity to understand the deep changes that the European and global economy is going through.
Italian and foreign economists, scholars of numerous disciplines, journalists and economic operators, as well as representatives of Italian and international political institutions will take part in daily events on the website https://2020.festivaleconomia.eu/ and on social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube).
These are the main themes, which will take turns weekly:
Economics in the COVID era: Conversations between economists led by the Scientific Director of the Festival, Tito Boeri, discussing topical issues and proposals for restarting the Italian, European and global economy
Intersections: Conversations ranging between disciplines: from science, history and anthropology to neuroscience and beyond; politicians, researchers and academics will discuss the economic situation using very different approaches.
Notes for recovery: Conversations with Innocenza Cipolletta: Economics from the point of view of businesses. How the different sectors have dealt with the pandemic and the innovative opportunities that the crisis has offered.
The keywords of economics: Audio podcast supervised by Lavoce.info with the participation of the University of Trento. Here, in a straightforward but accurate manner, university lecturers will comment and explain the terms that are transforming our lives.
