Tulip mania

Cultural exhibitions and events

In the historic Habsburg Park of the Levico Spa Park, two days dedicated to the tulip will open the 2022 season of events.

On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April, the tulip will be the star of the show in the park's greenhouse and meadows. More than 80 varieties with different shades of colour will be on display in the park's nursery and will complement the rich flowering of the 50,000 bulbs that bloom in the park's meadows.

Stories and videos, historical and botanical information and cultivation notes will enliven the two days.

The permanent exhibition Spazi cólti: i giardini nella storia d’Occidente (“Cultured” spaces. Gardens in the history of the Western World) can also be visited in the Villa Paradiso, in the park.

Through a selection of images, films, documents and objects, the exhibition highlights the peculiarities of gardens and parks that are a synthesis of different knowledge and artistic forms, to raise awareness of a historical-cultural and environmental heritage to be safeguarded and protected. Views of historic gardens from different eras focus on the evolution of styles and of the very concept of the garden from an ideal to a real place.

Exhibition organized by Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino and by the Employment Support and Environmental Enhancement Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Directorate, Councillorship for Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Levico Terme, the Comunità di Valle Alta Valsugana e Bersntol, and Valsugana Tourist Board.
