Uto Ughi is considered one of the greatest contemporary exponents and interpreters of the violin. He has played all over the world with the most renowned symphony orchestras. His instruments are a Guarneri del Gesù violin of 1744, and a Stradivari of 1701 called "Kreutzer", which belonged to the homonymous violinist to whom Beethoven dedicated the famous Sonata.
I Solisti Veneti are a chamber orchestra based in Padua specialized in performing Baroque music. Directed by Claudio Scimone, the orchestra was founded in 1959, and has obtained the highest awards from critics and audience's appreciation.
