We are nature. A new way of being in the world
Environmentalist Gianfranco Bologna opens the 2023 edition of 'Trento Science Major Events'

TRENTO SCIENCE MAJOR EVENTS
'Trento Scienza Grandi Eventi' ('Trento Science Great Events') is a series of scientific meetings that starts on Wednesday 15 February with prominent figures on the Italian scientific scene. The first guest of this annual event is naturalist and honorary president of WWF Italy's scientific community Gianfranco Bologna, who will talk with science journalist Nicla Panciera on the topics of his latest book, “Noi siamo natura. Un nuovo modo di stare al mondo” ("We are nature. A new way of being in the world").
Are we still able to be amazed at the world around us?
Gianfranco Bologna reminds us of the close relationship between our existences and the natural world, starting from where it all began: the Big Bang. Combining concepts from astrophysics and cosmology, geology and climatology, ecology and genetics, economics and sociology, Bologna highlights the principles we need to follow in order to relate to nature in a balanced way.
Meeting moderated by Osvaldo Negra, zoologist and MUSE scientific mediator.
The meeting, with free admission (bookings on Ticketlandia), will also be broadcast live on the museum's Facebook page. This is the first event in 2023 of the "Trento Scienza Grandi Eventi" (Trento Science Great Events) series, an initiative conceived by MUSE in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the University of Trento, the Bruno Kessler Foundation, the Edmund Mach Foundation, IBSA Foundation for Scientific Research and other cultural institutions in the area.
