We're Europe Festival 2018

To celebrate Europe Day, the Autonomous Province of Trento presents “Siamo Europa” ("We're Europe"), a festival about the European politics, in Trento - in piazza Santa Maria Maggiore - from 25 to 27 May. 

Every year, Europe Day celebrates peace and unity in Europe, by remembering when Robert Schuman laid the foundations for the project of Community integration in 1950.

This three-day-event in Trento is a local demonstration that aims at disseminating the message to a vaster public: in fact the festival will focus on crucial issues, as well as on what Europe concretely carries out for its citizens.

In its second year in Trentino, the festival is coordinated by the European information centres Europe Direct Trentino and by the European Documentation Centre of Trento with the collaboration of the Alcide Degasperi Foundation and Villa Vigoni, a place for discussion and dialogue between the Italian and German governments.

“Siamo Europa” involves many institutions that deal with Europe in the local area and it proposes seminars, meetings, shows, European projects and much more. At the end of the festival, first meeting of a European Commission cross-border pilot project to bring citizens closer to the European elections of May 2019
