Women and men of stone. The stone statues of Arco

The well-known stone statues, discovered in Arco between 1989 and 1991, and now on display in the archaeological section of the Mag, will be the protagonists of the third meeting, "Women and men of stone. The stone statues of Arco", presented by Annaluisa Pedrotti, professor at the University of Trento, which will take place on 9 October 2020.

In spite of the numerous studies on these finds, their meaning and function are still unknown: they are probably forms of representation of really existing high-ranking personalities, illustrious ancestors or gods.
