Women from extreme lands

The photo-essay "Women of extreme lands", dedicated to some of the many extraordinary women I met during my life on the road. Women who have welcomed and helped me, and who live in places on Earth where climatic conditions, above all, are considered extreme. The "protagonists" are the women of a nomadic family I met in West Mongolia, on the Siberian border, the Afar women I met in Ethiopian Dancalia during a solo bike ride, and the women of a small village on the island of Socotra only reachable by sea - between Somalia and Yemen. This is the story through images by photographer Caterina Borgato.
