Flaminio, a hardy shepherd, prepares himself materially and spiritually for the arrival of spring, with daily rituals and the tools he has made himself: he tills and sows the soil, shears the sheep and makes a woollen dress for the new season. The communities of the valleys drive out winter with cowbells and bonfires through the ritual of La Scasada dol Zenerù, which fits into the shepherd's life story as a dreamlike element that draws on an ancestral memory.
