FisiCittà: Trento City of Physics
A week-long event to introduce people to the world of physics

In occasion of the 103rd National Conference of the Italian Physics Society, Trento will host meetings and dissemination events for the entire community, from 11 to 15 September.
The 103rd edition of the National Conference of the Italian Physics Society, taking place in Trento from 11 to 15 September 2017 at the Department of Physics of the University of Trento (Povo), traditionally gathers nearly 600 Italian physicists and represents an opportunity for scientific exchange and reflection of a large scientific community expressing a range of cultural and research interests.
Yet, the programme of events - all of them with free admission - aims at the popularization of physics, and addresses also those people who have never come across this science.
The Organizing Committee has in fact included a rich program of side events with dissemination initiatives dedicated to high school students and others open to citizens, among which we mention:
- Theatrical Show "emozionare con la Scienza" (Creating excitement through science)
11 September at 17.00 - Teatro Sociale, via Oss Mazzurana, 19 – Trento;
- "Uno spazio quantistico" (a quantum space): Roberto Battiston - President of the Italian Space Agency - will converse with Giovanni Caprara - scientific journalist of the newspaper Corriere della Sera
11 September at 20.45 - Teatro Sociale, via Oss Mazzurana, 19 – Trento;
- Exhibit "I giocattoli e la scienza" (toys and science)
from 11 to 22 September, from 8.10 to 17.00 - Liceo classico G. Prati, via SS Trinità, 38 – Trento;
- Film club Science on screen
12 September at 20.00 - Cinema Astra, corso M. Buonarroti, 16 – Trento;
- The white night of Physics:" Physics 2night"
meetings and demos with young researchers open to the general public, in a number of establishments in town (Bookique, Don Quijote, Café de la Paix, Simposio – Trento)
13 September from 18.00 to 22.00;
- Particelle (Particles), night event with short stories by physicists
14 September 20.45 at the MUSE Science museum , corso del Lavoro e della Scienza, 3 – Trento
