Flowers from the factory

(Trento, Michelin 1927 -1999) by Anna Scalfi Eghenter

On the lawn where the Michelin factory stood, an expanse of white tulips is being grown to bloom in spring. This initiative expresses a shared recognition of the social, cultural and historical value of this factory for the growth of the city; it was in fact the largest industrial reality in the area for seventy years.

Everyone is invited to take part in planting the bulbs, by following on the ground the shape “M”, that is the symbol that was welded on the factory gate.

Participants are welcome at the Michelin Brothers’ Park during daylight from Thursday 25 October to Sunday 28 October until completion of the flower expanse.

This initiative is part of the activities included in the "Fiori dalla Fabbrica" (Flowers from the factory) collaboration agreement (Trento, Michelin, 1927-1999).
