“Kid Pass Days” at the Rhaetic Museum in Sanzeno and at the Pile dwelling Museum in Fiavé

Sunday 5 May open doors to families at the Museo Retico (Rhaetic Museum) in Sanzeno and at the Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé (Fiavè Pile dwelling Museum) on the occasion of the “Kid Pass Days"

[ Soprintendenza per i Beni culturali]

These museums, managed by the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Department for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento, propose "He who seeks shall find! Images and words from the world of the Raeti " and "100% milk", two workshops for families (run by the archaeologists of the office for educational activities) to learn how our ancestors lived in ancient times, and have fun at the same time.

"Kid Pass Days", now in its fifth year, is an initiative that takes place in various museums, theatres and associations in Italy: it offers over 160 children-oriented events, and its aim is to increase and spread accessibility and welcoming of families. 145,000 people took part in the event in 2018

"He who seeks shall find! Images and words from the world of the Raeti " is scheduled at the Museo Retico at 16.30. It’s an activity/game, led by an archaeologist, followed by a workshop of copper repoussage to create original ex voto pendants that participants can keep as a reminder of their experience in the museum.

Cost: € 2 per person including admission to the museum; booking required, tel. 333-4686682 by 13.00 on Sunday 5 May; max number of participants: 20.

At the Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé there will be a "100% milk" workshop dedicated to the processing of dairy products at the time of the pile-dwellings in Fiavé. After a treasure hunt in search of the objects exhibited in the museum related to the activity of the cheesemaker, the archaeologist will tell the story of the ancient Carera lake and the prehistoric villages located on its shores. Using the wooden reconstructions of some finds (bucket, whisk, ladle, spoon, cups) you’ll discover interesting facts about the diet of the inhabitants of the piles.

Cost: € 2 per person including admission to the museum; booking required, tel. 329-2904779 by 13.00 on Sunday 5 May; max number of participants: 20.
