Pergine Festival

Between 6 and 15 July the festival in Pergine returns for its 43rd year, and it's time for something new

From this year on, Pergine Spettacolo Aperto will turn its name into Pergine Festival, and Carla Esperanza Tommasini is the new art director.

"In an epoch characterised by dispersions, closures and confusions of identity, we asked ourselves what characterises human relationships, on a social and individual level, and how to rethink, through different artistic and performative practices, our idea of encounter and belonging. What makes us feel part of a group, a couple, a community, a territory? Which modes of relation can be triggered to build new spaces, shared visions and processes, that can mirror a community, open to listening, accessible and inclusive?

The artists' works invited to the Festival try to answer to these questions, promoting creative practices and forms  of engagement, which are representative of the national and international contemporary artistic scene: shows, site-specific performances, installations, interventions in the public space, new technologies, focuses, concerts and dj-set. We restart from here, inviting our communities to encounter and dialogue, in order to activat new perspectives and shared processes."
