Roman Trento
New audio guide for the Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas | S.A.S.S. Underground Archaeological Space

For a couple of days now, the S.A.S.S. Underground Archaeological Space, in piazza Cesare Battisti in Trento, has been offering its visitors a new tool to deepen their knowledge of the ancient Roman city.
It is a free audio guide that can be downloaded to smartphones and tablets via the QR code available at the entrance to the archaeological site. Created by the Archaeological Heritage Office of the UMSt Soprintendenza per i beni e le attività culturali provinciale (Strategic Mission Unit of the Department for Cultural Heritage and Activities), the audio guide is prepared for Android and iOS devices with texts in three languages (Italian, English and German), optimized for both listening and reading on screen.
Along the tour of the site, visitors are offered 11 stages with as many points of interest through the remains of what was an eastern quarter of Tridentum, the city founded by the Romans in the first century BC.
To enjoy this experience, the S.A.S.S. can be visited Tuesday through Sunday from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 17.30.
The audio guide, which was downloaded by more than 130 users in the first few days, has been developed according to updated inclusion and accessibility standards.
