Over 25 initiatives every week, more than 40 different types of activities including visits, thematic workshops and science shows, exhibitions, photo evenings, film festivals and a series of shows. The MUSE and its local branches welcome the summer with SUMMERTIME, the new calendar of events for all tastes. It's an opportunity to start again after the lockdown with new looks and new routes. And investigate together the connections that cross our planet.

The garden of biodiversity. At 17.00

Have tomatoes always been big and red? Why do we eat leaves, stems and flowers of cabbages? Why do aromatic plants smell good? Along the tour path, you will see many species, from the most common to the least known, that man has favoured and that over time he has selected to have large and aesthetically varied vegetables in shapes and colours.

Seed. Story of a little seed that wants to take root. At 17.00
An adventure within the MUSE Gardens that will guide children to discover the challenges that a seed must face to grow "big" through interactions with the animal world, enemies and friends that accompany life in a natural garden rich in biodiversity. 

My handimals. At 17.30
A workshop that combines scientific observation with artistic creativity. Get inspired by the temporary exhibition Handimals/Pets and paint your animal using your hands as a model.

The vegetable garden gang. At 18.30
Miss Onion, the naive Carrot, Mrs Pear Williams and many other friends of theirs are the characters animated by the voice of an extravagant vegetable grower. This activity wants to stimulate interest and curiosity towards the products of the garden highlighting the characteristics, nutritional and food properties of some plant species in a funny, ironic and playful way.

Paperplanes. At 15.30 

Paper, scissors and many folds, that's what it takes to build a paper plane. Together we will discover the secrets of paper airplanes and how they affect their flight - large and rectangular, small but triangular or unconventional shaped wings!

Observation of the sun. At 16.00 and at 17.00

Let's get to know in depth the physical/astronomic characteristics of our star in the perspective of an "open-air laboratory" with the help of a telescope and the support of laboratory materials.  

Messy astronaut. At 17.30

The messy astronaut got lost on the moon and doesn't know how to get home. His ship is broken and he doesn't know how to fix it. You'll find out what a spaceship looks like and how the messed-up astronaut can return to Earth: he'll thank us with a wonderful journey aboard his spaceship among stars and planets.

An unusual investigation in the company of Detective Sterco Holmes and Professor Caccons to discover the unspeakable: poop. Why do scientists find animal excrement interesting? From a naturalistic point of view, excrements are a very useful "find" to discover some important characteristics of the animal world and the environment around us.

Fireworks, crystals and magic powders: from breakfast to end of year dinners, we will discover how special objects, which in nature have perfect shapes and bright colours, keep us company every day; a laboratory full of experiments to get to know the wonderful world of minerals.

SDG & Ladders: Board game in sustainability. At 15.30

Building urban elements streets, buildings and parks, through an engaging game mode, where the activity of individual groups is intertwined with all the others. Dice, pen and paper will be the only tools to achieve the result. Will it be possible?

Who's on your hands? At 18.30
Touch is one of our most used senses. That's why hands get dirty and covered with microbes and germs, some good and some bad. The aim of the activity is to make people perceive the importance of washing their hands, supported and advised by doctors and paediatricians, through a playful atmosphere.
