'Tear' by Mary Mattingly

The work “Lacrima” (“Tear”) ideally measures the weather, particularly of the Dolomites and the Marmolada glacier.

It is a slow performance that invites us to reflect on the waters of our glaciers that are melting, on the land that holds this precious resource, on the aquifers that hold it in the soil and over time, on the importance of ancient traditions that guard the relationship with water.

It is also a participatory performance involving the artist Mary Mattingly, creator of the work, and the participants in the workshop "A Vase for Mary", as part of the NxT – Formazione e Trasformazione  project and the museum's creative platform investigating the most pressing environmental issues "We Are the Flood | We are the Flood".

The NxT programme is supported by Lavazza Group, Sustainability Partner of the MUSE, and Acqua Levico, Special Sponsor.
