Generations 2023

From 3 to 13 September, don't miss five events in various locations in Trentino - South Tyrol with guests of national prominence. Once again this year, the Generazioni | Generations Festival is intertwined with some of the most debated and topical issues: the geopolitical scenario, the perspectives of young people between pandemics and new global challenges, how to survive in the performance society and how to combine the need for lightheartedness and social commitment.

Five events in as many locations in Trentino-South Tyrol. Itinerant, regional and open to contamination, this year the festival will once again try to respond to the challenge of regeneration by interweaving stories, people and territories in original ways.

In addition to the events taking place in Trentino (see individual events below), the following two events are scheduled in Bolzano and Merano:

On Tuesday 5 September at 18.30 in Bolzano - in the Pastoral Center Conference Room - the discussion will focus on cold and overt wars, human rights and denied freedoms with "Domino. Tools for Understanding the New Global Challenges." An intergenerational dialogue between Dario Fabbri, renowned geopolitical analyst, editor of Domino, formerly a journalist for Limes and other newspapers, podcaster and well-known face of La7, and Pegah Moshir Pour, an Iranian activist who has made civil rights and digital and women's empowerment her life, being honored in Montecitorio at the Standout Woman Award.

On Saturday 9 September at 18.30 in Merano's Civic Hall, the event "Happy! The Right to Happiness Meets Civic Engagement" asks if it possible to combine lightheartedness and at the same time strive to create beauty. It will be discussed by Enrico Galliano, a suburban teacher - author of bestsellers such as "L'arte di sbagliare alla grande" - named in 2020 by the Sole 24 ore newspaper among the 10 most influential teachers in Italy, and the women's collective A M'l Rum da me, which specializes in art projects as a means of dealing with social issues and enhancing the local territory. A combination that speaks of art, happiness and carrying out one's dreams.
