Le camere di Wolfgang (Wolfgang's chambers)

The 29^th WAM Mozart Festival in Rovereto pays homage to chamber music with, a programme that keeps increasing its variety and quality year after year. The topic of 2016, chosen by the art director Angela Romagnoli, is entitled “Le camere di Wolfgang” (Wolfgang's chambers). This outlined common thread runs through the history of the chamber music repertoire, mentioning also some examples before and after Mozart.

WAM Mozart Festival presents a completely new formula for 2016 schedule: instead of a compact series of meeting in August, this year there will be three weekends between the end of April and the beginning of May, with many events performed in three different time slots.

The central moment of the Festival's days will be the traditional concerts in their usual settings (for example Zandonai Theatre and Fisarmonica Hall) on Friday and Saturday evening and on Sunday afternoon. The world of chamber music will be explored thanks to the presence of various artists and repertoires, with a special focus on performers of Trentino, young composers and the international dimension.

The morning will be dedicated to the discovery of intimate and secret places, such as palaces and gardens, which are not known to the general public because they are private or are not dedicated to musical performances. Together with this discovery, there will be the presentation of young artists in a series of concerts organised with the conservatories of Trento, Riva del Garda and Bolzano and with “Zandonai” and “Novak” schools. The musical event will be followed by the encounter with the best local products of the territory thanks to the presence of wineries and agricultural industries.

In the afternoon the families will enjoy musical and entertainment events, especially thought to captivate a young audience.

WAM Point

The WAM Point will be opened in Piazza Mazzini from Sunday 24^th April and during the Festival. This space will provide information and advertising material, and you will be able to make reservations and buy tickets.
