Exhibition of mail art to celebrate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, curated by Cristiano Beccaletto

In collaboration with the cultural numismatic philatelic club of Rovereto and the Lions host club of Rovereto, the Civic library of Rovereto presents an exhibition and conference dedicated to the Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Conference and exhibition opening on 24 January at 17.30.

On display some works by Michel Fingesten (1883 current Czech Republic – 1943 Cerisano Cosenza), stateless artist of Jewish origin exiled in Italy, interned in Civitella del Tronto and in Ferramonti Tarsia (Cosenza), where he died in 1943 just after the liberation of the camp. In the exhibition, a space is dedicated to the reproduction of the drawings made in Terezin by the interned children and some of their poems. 25 Mail art works, made on the theme of Remembrance by 15 Italian artists, complete the exhibition: Ettore Antonini, Cristiano Beccaletto, Mattia Caruso, Luigi Casalino, Giovanni Daprà, Federica Fiorenzani, Anna Laura Folena, Lanfranco Lanari, Valerio Mezzetti, Marcela Miranda, Ivo Mosele, Francesco Porcelli, Luciano Ragozzino, Fabio Sironi, Elisabetta Viarengo Miniotti. Some publications about the Shoah are also on display.
