Every year, since 1993, the Municipality of Arco remembers four Jewish citizens deported from Arco on 21 December 1943 and destined for Auschwitz: three of them did not return, but one, Leo Zelikowski, who survived the horror of the extermination camp, returned to Arco and after many years found the strength to bear witness to his story and remember his companions in misfortune: Eva Haas Flatter, Gino Tedeschi, Arturo Salomone Cassin. Their stories have been described, after a long period of research, by historian Maria Luisa Crosina, in the volume "The rediscovered stories", published by the Museo Storico in Trento in 1995.

Due to the health emergency, the commemoration will take place in a restricted form, with only a few delegations accompanying the Mayor and Prof. Crosina. The video of the ceremony (at 12.00) will be posted on the social pages and website of the Municipality of Arco, together with a short film telling the stories of these Holocaust victims.
