Forges

Evidence of an ancient local industry of metalwork; the iron used was mainly mined in the village of Comasine located in Val di Peio.

Inside the forge one finds the great hammer, dated 1834, and the stone hood about 7 meters above the double forge. Anvils, hammers, pincers, a tank for tempera and a sample of instruments forged here give evidence of the different phases of production.

In this small forge, around the 'T' shaped anvil and the forge with its fire lit, you can still see nail-makers at work
