Etnographic museum of wood - Celledizzo

After being renovated, the old Venetian sawmill, dating back to the beginning of the 19th century, hosts now a proper museum of wood.

The museum was opened to the public in June 2009, after 3 years of renovation works in the old sawmill. This building dates back to the years 1870-1900 and it has maintained its original state; the machinery within the sawmill began to run on electricity only after the war. Within the museum, there are several rooms with antique furnishings made by artisans. There is also a scale model created with authentic materials that shows the entire Val di Peio with all of its unique cultural sites.
