Taialacqua sawmill - Molveno

The Molveno sawmill is one of the few survivors of the more than 300 in Trentino before World War I.

This 'Venetian' sawmill, characterized by a very small and effective hydraulic wheel, which simultaneously sets in motion the frame of the blade and the horizontal cart for the advancement of the trunk spread across the Alpine area from the sixteenth century onwards. The Molveno sawmill, one of the few survivors of the more than 300 in Trentino before World War I, was restored by the Molveno Council and is run in collaboration with the Adamello-Brenta Park. Extensive information boards explain the operation of the machinery.
