Un Secolo diVino. La viticoltura nella fotografia trentina | A Century of Wine. Viticulture in Trentino photography

Opening: Saturday 10 June, at 18.30

Vine cultivation has characterised the territory of Trentino, creating distinctive landscapes.

At the same time, viticulture and wine have gained a special position in the collective image, taking on important cultural, symbolic and identity values.

Drawing on the vast heritage of the Historic Photographic Archive of the Department for Cultural Heritage (’Archivio fotografico storico provinciale), with shots by Caterina Unterveger, Sergio Perdomi, the Pedrotti brothers, Flavio Faganello and Piero Cavagna, the exhibition, on display at Castel Belasi (Campodenno, in the province of Trento) from 10 June to 29 October 2023, ranges from views, portraits and life scenes, in which the efforts of work and moments of celebration coexist: a journey through time, the seasons and the different souls of Trentino wine-growing.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento, Slow Food, the Edmund Mach Foundation and the association Wine Tourism Movement of Trentino-Alto Adige.
