Andrei Pushkarev

An example of how music never stops being a terrain for experimentation. The extraordinary vibraphonist and composer Andrei Pushkarev, son of musicians, began playing the piano when he was five before turning to the vibraphone at the age of fourteen, quickly acquiring international fame. Joining the Kremerata in 1999 and meeting Gidon Kremer was for him the beginning of a new way of making music, of experimenting and playing with shifts into various genres and composers: classical, jazz, rock, world music.
