Campiglio special week
A festival within a festival to enjoy mountain tops and valleys together with important international musicians
A festival within a festival that in its range and intensity reflects as much the particular, distinct nature of the Brenta Dolomites as the richness of the valley. Numerous events will take place daily in spectacular locations in the Val Rendena, or along the lines that run from the valley to the peaks in a symbolic upward movement typical of the mountains and music. Making all this possible is cellist Mario Brunello, a constant presence at the Sounds of the Dolomites with his innovative projects, who has chosen to accompany him the musicians of the Kremerata Baltica, an orchestra composed of the finest talents from the Baltic region with whom Mario Brunello has been collaborating increasingly closely in recent years.
Since being conceived by Gidon Kremer in 1997, Kremerata Baltica have defined themselves by their sense of adventure and experimentation, challenging convention with a genuine pioneering spirit, and pushing the bounds of music unconstrained by location. An extraordinary musical experience – close to the sentiments of Mario Brunello and Sounds of the Dolomites - that has won international acclaim and that has graced the world’s most important concert halls with a repertoire that highlights works from the great composers of the Baltic region.
