A cornerstone of literature, whose influence has inspired and continues to inspire composers for three centuries, in a concert program that juxtaposes, between affinities and differences, the old and the new in a continuous cross-reference of quotations and atmospheres.

The Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, most unusual for the extraordinary prominence given by the composer to the harpsichord, is accompanied by Englishman John Rutter's Suite Antique, a 1979 piece for the same instrumental ensemble, in which the flute
assumes the solo role.

The atmospheres touched upon are among the most varied: from hints of progressive rock to light allusions to Dave Brubeck's jazz and modern re-enactments of medieval and Renaissance music.

The Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, for strings only, is juxtaposed, however, with Vittorio Giannini's Concerto Grosso, a 1946 composition for the same ensemble, in which the reference to Bach is blatant in a great many compositional gestures, which are deconstructed and recombined in innovative and surprising ways.

Neapolitan harpsichordist Angelo Trancone is in charge of the ensemble's concertation and coordination.

Music by young people for young people: the Filarmonici Friulani Youth Orchestra is the only orchestra entirely composed and run by the under-35s in the Triveneto region.

Recognized by the Ministry of Culture, the OFF has performed with versatile internationally renowned soloists in Italy and abroad.
