Bar Bar is a sound performance that focuses on the voice in relation to its surroundings, using sound, language and misunderstanding as tools to materialise and transform a state of isolation.

At a time when avoiding physical contact and maintaining social distance have become the norm, an inner soundscape is exposed as an attempt at empathy and closeness.

Through fragmented words, non-verbal vocalisations, melodic singing and noise from the environment of everyday life, the work evolves into a babbling force that forms a new sound field beyond clichés.
