Rompere il ghiaccio | Breaking the ice is a performance-exhibition by artist Filippo Andreatta. The work stems from the correspondence of the director's grandparents, Elsa and Enrico, the latter accused of communism and forced into exile during Fascism.
From the personal narrative to the mapping of cross-border territories, the text questions the very idea of borders.
The objects from the performance will be on show until 27 February in the Foyer of the Mart's Archive of the 20th Century.
Production OHT, co-production MAXXI, artistic residence Centrale Fies with the collaboration of the Autonomous Province of Trento and Fondazione Caritro.
Free admission until all available seats are taken.
