Castello del Buonconsiglio - Christmas Gardens

The magic of Christmas at the Castello del Buonconsiglio: its gardens are open to the public

Cultural exhibitions and events

In relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and this second forced closure of all museums in Italy, our museum has decided to open the gardens of the Buonconsiglio Castle to the public, from 4 December to 8 January 2021 - free admission from 9.30 to 17.00 (closed on Mondays).

Here's once again the magic season at the Castello del Buonconsiglio with its gardens decorated for Christmas.

The Museum feels alive, not only with its social activities: in fact, with this extraordinary opening, we wants to send out a message of hope and a hoped-for return to normality. The green spaces in front of the cafeteria, the cherry trees, and the persimmons are decorated with charming red baubles.

New this year: on one hand, a life-size wrought iron silhouette of a black horse pulling a wooden sled anticipates the inauguration of a multimedia room at Castel Thun, which will soon display a rich collection of carriages and sleighs belonging to the noble Thun family.

On the other hand, a decorated Christmas tree stands inside the bastion, which is being used as an exhibition space for the first time.
