Chiara Dynys - The shadow of light

Light, first and foremost, and shadow, its antithetical counterpart understood as a mysterious projection, an invisible entity in the absence of brightness. These are the central themes in the Mart’s exhibition dedicated to Chiara Dynys.

The exhibition, organised outside of the museum’s usual spaces, revolves around the signature themes in the artist’s poetic journey, which take on a great symbolic value in such venues.

The sculpture “Gold Shell” welcomes visitors to the museum’s square. This large, gleaming metal structure sketches the symbolic form typical of Dynys’ work in the air and gives substance to the idea of going beyond and passing through, a crucial theme in her poetics.
