Courtly Love

Music

Live again the courtly love with music, performances and court characters of the 1300.
A legend says Caldes Castle has been scene of the imprisonment of a young woman named Olinda, perhaps the countess Marianna Elisabetta Thun, locked up by the father Rodemondo in a small room to prevent her wedding with Arunte, a court minstrel she died of love for. This tormented love story will provide a starting point to make live again, through music and narration, the atmosphere of courtly love. Minstrels, jugglers and jesters will enliven the rooms of the castle and the near village will live an unusual animation thanks to the realisation of a medieval market and taverns. Old games (board and ability games) will be proposed again, in which the kids of all ages will be able to test and face themselves.

The Saturday evening will be characterized by a suggestive aerial dance performance on the castle facade, suggested by a group of acrobatic dancers
