Delirium for two

Husband and wife.
Locked in their own home. Outside: Delirium. Inside: delirium. The delirium of the outside world is represented by off sounds; the delirium of the inside worlds is represented by the grotesque interpretation of the two protagonists, husband and wife, constantly at a distance on stage.
The director creates a theatrical reading, characterized by frantic and funny verbal and physical rhythms, by a forced physical distance in which the protagonists never touch each other and where not only the word but also the gesture takes on great importance. The noises on stage will be the news referring to current events, rather than the noise of the bombardments of the original text. The performance will investigate the distance between people, the clumsy attempt to find a connection that takes place paradoxically through a delirious, but light dialogue based on insults between spouses.
