Enrosadira. Paintings by Giuseppe Soraperra

Giuseppe "Beppino" Soraperra (1912-1985) was the founder of the Art School of Pozza. The local teacher used to observe the Dolomites every day, he climbed them with tenacity and perseverance, as mountain guide but also with palette and brushes, to capture every glare, that moment when the summits go from pink to the most fervent orange: the "Enrosadira".
In the context of Circen Dollomites Festival, Soraperra's pieces and his notion of the surroundings nature are well-placed: an emotional impact, made of contrast and unexpected outbursts, but also peace and serenity, enchanted dawns and golden sunsets, dazzling with colour.
In the painting displayed, coming from the Museum's collection and from private citizens', Dolomites summits are over in all their glory.
