Notturno, loggia del Romanino [ Archivio fotografico Castello del Buonconsiglio Monumenti e collezioni provinciali – tutti i diritti riservati- ”]

A choral concert with music from the Renaissance accompanied by harpsichord and lute, offering a glimpse on vocal music written by women over the centuries.

Starting from the multifaceted figure of the German mystic Hildegard von Bingen, we will discover other great female composers such as Maddalena Casulana and Sulpitia Lodovica Cesis, contemporaries of the Baroque painter Fede Galizia, as well as Amy Beach and Rebecca Clarke, in the transition from Romanticism to the 20th century.
