European Heritage Days: archaeological events

The Archaeological Heritage Office of the "UMSt Soprintendenza per i beni e le attività culturali" | Department for Cultural Heritage will take part in the event, by proposing free activities at the Museo delle Palafitte, at the Parco Archeo Natura di Fiavé, at the Museo Retico, at Roman  Tridentum and at the area archeologica Acqua Fredda.

Demonstrative archaeology, workshops for families and participatory guided tours will be opportunities for interested, curious and enthusiastic people of all ages to get to know Trentino's ancient history.

The Italian theme of the 2023 Days "Patrimonio InVita", which picks up on the European slogan "Living Heritage" chosen by the Council of Europe, intends to draw connections between recognising, safeguarding and promoting intangible cultural heritage in order to share them and pass them on to future generations.

The Museum of Hidden Stories | Workshop for families: children and adults will be involved and guided in the creation of a small illustrated book, inspired by one or more of the exhibits in the museum. 24 September at 14.00 | Parco Archeo Natura Fiavé

A day in a pile dwelling | Participatory guided tour to learn about the daily life of the pile-dwelling village of Fiavé, which 3,500 years ago stood on the shores of ancient Lake Carera, now a peat bog. 24 September at 14.30 | Area archeologica Acqua Fredda - Passo del Redebus Bedollo

The idea of that metal | Experimental archaeology activities and practical demonstration of demonstration archaeology for children and adults with archaeometallurgists to discover the secrets of metalworking.
