FUCK ME (N)

Evoè! Teatro

Drama

Fuck Me(n) is a harsh text, written by three very important playwrights on the Italian scene: Giampaolo Spinato, Massimo Sgorbani and Roberto Traverso.

It is a frank reflection on the Superman or, as Michele Serra defines it in the newspaper "Repubblica", the "Rampant Supermachism of the 1920s of the new millennium".

Three generations of males compared, different in every way, except for one thing: they are Fuck Me(n). Fucking strong men who represent three figures of the contemporary male figure: power, education and fatherhood.

There is no judgement, there are three confessions, three self-confident characters, apparently indestructible and tremendously certain that they can never make a mistake and if they do, it is not their fault. The portrait of a man grappling with himself and reproducing himself, socially, in children who will take his place.

The Fuck Me(n) is obvious, he doesn't hide, on the contrary he shows himelf, every day in our daily life he occupies HIS space: it is a politician with his "balls", a Carabiniere who adopts behaviours outside the rules and makes a boast of it, a quick-tempered braggart, a gang that identifies two girls as objects of evening entertainment, the Fuck Me(n) lives in the present, he has no past, he doesn't see the future: he responds to the immediate and necessary contingencies of his instinct.

His strong and powerful figure hides all the fragility of a world that shatters at the first breeze: a pandemic breaks politicians and rhetorical machismo, a fight goes wrong and someone dies; when someone confesses wrongdoing and judicial investigations begin, the world of Fuck Me(n) falls apart and the "real man" reveals himself for what he is: Nothing.
