Artist Gianfranco Baruchello will be attending the event
Last days to visit the largest exhibition ever dedicated to Gianfranco Baruchello, one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists. The exhibition opened last May at the Mart, and it presents about 300 works of which over 200 unpublished drawings, two new artworks, environmental installations and some works which are rarely exhibited because of their particular size.
To complete the exhibition, the Mart has published a rich catalogue with essays by Gianfranco Maraniello - director of the Mart and exhibition curator - and Carla Subrizi, Baruchello Foundation director and Professor at La Sapienza University of Rome.
In particular, the text by Subrizi is a study on the hundreds of drawings Baruchello made since the late Fifties, which are on display at the Mart.
