Focus | Bartolomeo Bezzi (1851 - 1923)

On the occasion of the centenary of his death, the Mart, the Buonconsiglio Castle, the Municipality of Cles and the Municipality of Ossana join their forces in a cultural project to celebrate Bartolomeo Bezzi, among the most important painters from Trentino in the 19th century.

After an exhibition at the Caldes Castle, organized by the Buonconsiglio Castle and a second one at the Palazzo Assessorile of the Municipality of Cles, the project arrives at the Mart with a final exhibition event.

Curated by Margherita de Pilati, the exhibition presents 17 large-scale works with which Bartolomeo Bezzi became known and loved by the collectors and art critics of his time, thanks to the strong compositional layout of landscapes and views.

The three exhibitions are accompanied by a single catalogue that reproduces all the works on display in chronological order and with a critical card.
