On the occasion of the exhibition on Riposo durante la fuga in Egitto (Under the sky of Egypt) by Francesco Hayez , the museum proposes four special meetings, held by art historians who present fascinating themes and talk with the audience.

In his palace in Riva del Garda Andrea Maffei had a rich collection of works of art, which included masterpieces by Francesco Hayez. The intellectual association and friendship between poet and painter intertwines historical themes, allegories and portraits during the Risorgimento in Milan.

The next meeting entitled  "Venus joking with two doves: Hayez's masterpiece between myth and historical reality"  will take place on 29 January.
