Exploring the iconography of the Martyrs of Anaunia
This itinerary will lead you to the discovery of the Chapel of the Anaunia Holy Martyrs of Palazzo Fugger Galasso, a sacred building of great artistic interest, which is usually closed to the public.
The vault of the small church is decorated with fine stuccowork of the early seventeenth century and with seven paintings (oil on canvas) by architect and painter Pietro Maria Bagnadore, to whom we also owe the project of the Palace and of the annexed chapel.The visit to the Chapel of the Anaunia Martyrs is the final stage of an itinerary dedicated to the iconography of saints Sisinio, Martirio and Alessandro.
