Guided tours to discover the archaeological excavations in the ancient church of San Pietro

Archaeological excavations in the ancient church of San Pietro, in the area of the cemetery of Mezzolombardo (started in June 2019), are giving interesting results: the research in progress will be presented on Saturday 3 August from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 18.00, on the occasion of free guided tours held by the archaeologists who are carrying out the work, Nicoletta Pisu of the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Department for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and the technicians of Cora Archaeological Society.
The tours will take place every 30 minutes, in groups of up to 20 participants. Information and registration at the Library (tel. 0461 602648, mezzolombardo@biblio.infotn.it).
The event is promoted by the Municipality of Mezzolombardo in collaboration with the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Department for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and the Parish of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.
