Zappalà is a central figure in the contemporary dance scene.

Over the years he has formed a successful company across Europe and a choreographic centre, Public Scene, in Catania, which was recognized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage as one of the three coreutic production centres of national interest.

With his dynamic, dense, energetic dance, Zappalà recounts current issues, and for the final stage of his project Transiti Humanitatis, he chose to tell about beauty, taking inspiration from the sculptor Rodin and from Baudelaire’s poem “La Beauté.”
