The Strait of Magellan and the ice of Monte Sarmiento are the setting for an extreme adventure continuing in the face of all the difficulties. Incorporating the original 6x6 format images, the film recounts the expedition of Father Alberto Maria De Agostini, during which Clemente Maffei and Carlo Mauri reached the summit of the Sarmiento on 7 March 1956.
