"Il cosmonauta Dante alle origini dell'universo" (Cosmonaut Dante at the origins of the universe)
Augmented Lecture
Dante had (perhaps) understood everything ... the Big Bang and God are the same thing?
by Anna Pegoretti (Department of Humanities, University Roma Tre) and Leonardo Ricci (Department of Physics, University of Trento)
with Anna Pegoretti and with Laura Anzani
Direction supervision Andrea Brunello
How can we imagine the unthinkable and talk about it?
This is the problem of contemporary scientists, who often have no terms to explain what they discover. Together with Dante, we will go to heaven to find out what it has in common with contemporary physics, and how poetry has faced, centuries ago, the immortal problem of saying the unthinkable.
Perhaps you did not know that ... Dante was a scientist to all intents and purposes, with revolutionary insights.
