A tribute to Umberto Eco by playwright Stefano Massini, who puts on stage this successful novel. At the climax of the conflict between Church and State affecting medieval Europe, on a historical-political-theological background, events take place at a fast pace, and the fil rouge is the search for solution to a miserious affair which occurred in the Middle Ages in an abbey in northern Italy.
