In the mirror of Annalena Tonelli
Meeting with Annalena Benini, journalist and writer, director of the Turin International Book Fair

Annalena Tonelli and Annalena Benini: two women with the same name, two very different lives. Annalena Tonelli is a girl from the 1960s with a future in her hands: beautiful, quick-witted, the first among her friends to dance the twist, scholarships in Boston and New York, a degree in Law. But at nineteen she has already met her vocation, 'because it is not possible to love the poor without wanting to be like them'. She would do this all her life. Until she founded a mission in Africa and gave up everything. Until she was killed because she was a woman, white, without a man at her side, and without fear. Annalena Benini, journalist, radio presenter and writer, director of the Turin International Book Fair, observes her, confronts and clashes with her in a very personal and profound journey into the heart of female strength, between dedication and power, greatness and sense of limit, talent and vocation.
