Jubilate deo: Twenty years of the L. Feininger Vocal Group

The background to all the events of the 34th Trento Musicantica International Festival is the celebration of the twenty years since the foundation of the vocal group Laurence Feininger and the twenty years since the great bibliographic exhibition Jubilate Deo, dedicated to the artistic and musical wonders of the volumes preserved in the Laurence Feininger Music Library of the Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento.

It is from the Castle, therefore, that the celebration of these two events begins, accompanied by an exhibition of some of the library's codices, with music derived from the books of the Feininger legacy alternating with pieces from the fifteenth-century Trentino polyphony music codices: the most important collection of sacred polyphony of the fifteenth century in the world; six of these volumes are kept in the same room of the Feininger library, while the seventh large volume is at the Vigilianum in Trento.
